NEW YEAR, NEW MINDSET

business travel, mental health and well-being

Goodness knows this past year has been hard on everyone’s mental health and well-being, but maybe it’s now time to consider those two things more seriously when we finally emerge from this dreadful pandemic.

In Episode 13 of the BTN Europe podcast, psychologist Dr Lucy Rattrie joins our own COO, Dave Bishop, Carolyn Pearson of Maiden Voyage and Nike’s Daniel Tallos. They discuss whether companies sending their travellers on business trips consider their mental health and well-being enough and the effect of the pandemic on people stopped from travelling who would normally love to travel on business.

We discuss how to ensure mental health and well-being and whether companies need to invest more in this area. We also look at how well-being and duty of care are converging and why new restrictions mean we might be taking fewer business trips. We also learn about holistic bingo, fake commutes and other ways to improve your mental health during the Covid crisis.
